The fact is that evolution is still a theory. While it's vastly accepted, the proof is that there is still the missing link needed to propel theory to fact. Teach it, fine, as theory. Same as any theory. That's how it was in school in the 60's and 70's...only until the generation that grew up being taught it became the teachers was the need for the missing link tossed aside and theory was given an unearned elevation to fact.


It's not fair to blame any other industry for the failure of academia...which makes errors in plenty of genres besides science!Christians: If evolution is so obviously false, why is it taught in all public schools and universities?
it is still taught because scientists have, from the very beginning of their research, decided that God is not a possiblity. It's the theory can account for anything differences, similarities, enomilies, normality, there is no way to prove evolution false because it encompases all possibilities and God is not an option.





Are you one of the people who believe that because more people believe that one thing is true you are going to believe it or do you get out there and find out what is true?
No, contrary to the common belief, Darwin's theory is a ******* THEORY. That's why it's called a theory. It's not fact. Oh yeah, and nobody says it's ';so obviously false';, instead they offer a respecful contradictory opinion.





Also, there are things in math(I forget what they're called) that cannot be proved, yet they are accepted as truth anyway. Same thing.
I have never seen so many whiny people who suffer from 'persecution complex' and who misunderstand what a scientific theory is....


You might want to let them know that 1., it's reproduced in medical labs, 2. any practicing Dr. lives his life according to knowledge and belief of the subject, including theirs, and also that it's being observed in smaller animals and insects b/c of the climate change!


They clearly need to look up the difference between 'theory' and 'Scientific theory'.
Science really shot itself in the foot with Evolution, simply by relating it to a theory.





The average layperson does not understand the word ';theory'; in science. They don't understand Germ Theory, or Cell Theory...they don't realize that a theory is there to explain an observed fact based on observed evidence.





We know there are Germs. The theory is how cause disease.





We know Evolution occurs. We've witnessed it. I could not present to you something that is MORE of a scientific fact than Evolution. Species evolve. That's fact.





The theory is only in how it applies to what we are today.





People say that we're just looking for that ';missing link'; to prove it. We aren't.





It'll never be proven in the sense they are thinking, it's already at the highest level of proof for something that cannot be seen in real time.





And since you mention Mathematical proofs...you probably know full well that math is based entirely in theory (the scientific definition of ';theory';, of course).





It is taught because it is a real, observed, fact of life.
Answer this, WHY is it such a controversial issue? We can all admit that Disosaurs are real, etc. But this is about the creation of this earth. Evolution is only a theory, and is widely accepted only because Science makes it seem like it's this ';Wide Truth';.





Sure I believe in some stuff of Science, I just believe that God is the ultimate creator. And just because OTHERS believe in that, does that mean WE all do? Uh no!

If you want to be logical, you need to qualify. You're generalizing when you use the term ';Christians.'; I am a Christian. I have never said that the theory of evolution was definitely false.
The funny thing is, there exist Christian scientists, including Christian biologists who specialize in evolution.
You need to use that logic that you claim to know and use the word SOME. I am a Christian and have do not deny the theory of evolution.

Because its a Theory of Science, not a fact. All Science is Theory until its fact....So they do teach things in Public School that have not been proven,....its just fact
