True or False(and why?): You can't teach an old dog new tricks.?

Mostly true, I think once people get set in their ways, you can only modify some tricks, not really learn anything new.True or False(and why?): You can't teach an old dog new tricks.?
False.

Mythbusters did a show on this and several rescue groups in my area have very successful re-training programs for mature dogs.

Metaphorically speaking, it is also false. A person can change if they have the desire to do so. It may not be easy, but it can be done.True or False(and why?): You can't teach an old dog new tricks.?
So false! I had a 13 year old dog who learned new tricks!! He learned how to ';shake'; at 12!
False it is hard to do if you do it enough they ketch on. I did that with my old spaniel. I taught her to roll over like the new puppy companion I got her.
False
False. You always keep learning in life's experiences
According to the Mythbusters it's false. Older dogs learn tricks at the same pace that younger ones do. The trick to teaching any dog tricks is patience and repitition along with a reward system for the animal, treats, etc. Good Luck!
If you mean it in the figurative sense of the quote then it's a little bit of both, but it's a proven fact that it's harder to break a habit when you're older, and easier to teach little kids to do things than when they're older. It's the difference of writing on a blank sheet of paper and on a paper that was already erased and rewritten on many times. get it?

but you definitely CAN teach an old dog new tricks (figuratively speaking) , it just might be harder.

Literally speaking it's false, since they have proved that it's just as hard to teach an old dog as it is to teach a young dog.
False, that is really a dumb statement and very predjudicial towards old folks.
