Does Galatians 1:6-9 say that Catholicism teaches a false gospel of works that leads to eternal hell?

I didn't think it did, but somehow Chris includes this every single time he answers a question. Is this scripture twisting, or simple hatred?

There it is in simpler English. It begs the question though, how do you know which is the false gospel? As noted Catholicism which wasn't around as a particular institution when it was written is not covered at that point. Was it the Greek Orthodox; was it Islam; Luther came along as did Old Henry VIII; Protestantism split again into 4 different gospels and into hundreds of more within a few centuries. It becomes very difficult to point out which is which as far as that's concerned. Some churches, Protestant in turn condemn his church's ideas as heresy as well; especially the damanble doctrine of OSOS as a miinister from the Church Of Christ Disciples and even John Hagee say.





Sigh, if you were an outside observer looking at all of this you'd laugh and say one guess is as good as another.

A person who would use this scripture to hate, slander, and bear false witness against others in the name of Christianity is the greatest perversion of the Gospel that there can be.





If whomever you're talking about doesn't know this, then he/she needs our prayers.
Hey, no it doesnt teach a false gospel. Everyone knows faith without works is dead but works is just the manifestation of following out faith. If i love God then my ations should show it. I should care about the poor, afflicted the hurting etc etc. Faith alone saves, works is a natural outpooring.





If i am in love with a man i definitely go out of my way to show him. Its all love baby!
Galatians 1:6, 7 There is only one gospel, and what the Judaizers preached was a perversion of it. The Judaizers not only perverted the gospel, they also accused Paul of inconsistency in his doctrine by his preaching circumcision to Jews and repudiating it among the Gentiles.
Catholics don't believe that you can be an unrepentant axe murderer and still go to Heaven. If you truly believe that Jesus died for your sins then you will walk the walk and not just talk the talk.





Lots of people twist the Bible to try to get away with doing bad stuff. God ain't stupid, they don't get away with it.

it isn't specifically against Catholicism - it's saying anyone preaching against the true gospel is going to hell.
In his bible, apparently. As well as a myriad of other verses. Quite astonishing, isn't it??

people need to stop judging one another we have to love one anther as christ loved us. stop all the bashing
God tells us that it is not by works, that we go to heaven so that no man can boast. The only way to heaven is through the cross and that what Jesus did was sufficient for us. god doesn't need us, we need him.


Not hatred, just simple truth.
