What does yr religion / Faith teach u ...that all others are false ..?

%26amp;only your faith is true?

If yes...is it not I****cy** ?What does yr religion / Faith teach u ...that all others are false ..?
****cy, indeed! Of course, it all rises out of **norance. i have turned inward to my own form of faith, having personally explored a few religions and read many, many books. i have blended the best from the best teachings, coupling them with whatever intuitive teachings arise from within, and i am still learning. But i have learned i have direct access to inner guidance and do not need organized religion with its stark boundaries and controls, and sometimes fear-mongering.

The Source is within each of us, we need only look there, entering the silence and listening to the ';still, small voice'; that awaits our attention...some call this the Voice of the Holy Spirit.

I do not even truly know what is right for me, so I certainly will not presume to know what is right for others. My religion has guided me through various trials, and to this point it has given me hope for the future--I will follow it for as long as I believe it to be the right course.

I hope that those who follow other paths find them fulfilling--whichever is right, I pray that we will all find it eventually.

Peace and blessings :)
Yup,it pretty much does.

Not that i'm religious.

Sadly,i'm sceptical and open minded about lotsa stuff,

bcuz when teacher's make statements like that,

i just love to ask 'em,

why not?

N their answer to simply put it,

is

';It just simply is';

Sheeeeesh...
False? I would rather go the Noah Law route (see wikipedia or 1stCovenant.org), at least they are universal and don't require conversion or all the strings attached to the missionaries that made them in a profitable business. I guess religions that liked them forgot where they came from and make a religion out of ';Ietsism.';

To believe that there cannot be other paths to the Creator seems a horrible way to treat ';cousins'; since science has proved by mDNA from all races, colors, countries, languages, and customs all have the same one mother in common, making, so-called Noah and his wife related to us. Too bad the worse of the ';sins'; of mankind has been man's inhumanity to man. Perhaps we should all go back and check on the basics to get this world back in a condition that can provide the world with clean water, fresh food, breathable air, forests full of trees and oxygen, eliminate the dead zones in our rivers and oceans, have the birds, animals and sea creatures seen as a need for our survival rather than a gourmet meal would be a start.

If you ever saw the episode ';Cause and Effect'; of the 5th season of ';Star Trek: The Next Generation'; -- was in a way, or still is, a wake-up call to the distortions we create by not heeding the warning signs when we destroy those around us and other people's environment, we are destroying ourselves because people try to make logical sense out of chaos. At least the Noah laws in analysis, tells us to protect the world around us, including ALL creatures, not just animals, but our cousins. People want logic, want control the reaction of time, space and creation by redefining the undefinable. You cannot define existence when existence makes no sense, ';Something from Nothing,'; is a real miracle, like making water out of air. ';Nothingness'; cannot be tamed.
Man prides himself on being the only creature on earth with the ability to think. He claims to know himself and the natural world, and believes he can use nature as he pleases. He is convinced, moreover, that intelligence is strength, that anything he desires is within his reach.

As he forged ahead, making new advances in the natural sciences and dizzily expanding his materialistic culture, man has grown estranged from nature and ended by building a civilization all his own, like a wayward child rebelling against its mother.

But all his vast cities and frenetic activity have brought him are empty, dehumanized pleasures and the destruction of his living environment through the abusive exploitation of nature.

Alienated from the nature, human existence becomes a void, the well spring of life and spiritual growth gone utterly dry.

No matter how hard he tries, man can never rule over nature. What he can do is serve nature, which means living in accordance with its laws.

Science can give us the reasons for ozone and forest depletion, for plant and animal diseases, but it cannot explain why we behave and think in the way we do. It is for us to become responsible global citizens.

Rather than a life of material prosperity, we can seek to improve the quality of our lives.

It is not by destroying the living world that humanity will survive but by establishing a harmonious relationship with earth. There is no point in complaining about the pollution that threatens air, water and soil; we need to put forward concrete solutions, initiate a driving force and develop a new creative spirit.

Science has nothing to do with our happiness- happiness springs from our inner being.

Once we accept that nature has been harmed by human knowledge and action, and renounce these instruments of chaos and destruction, nature will recover its ability to nurture all forms of life.

Save earth. Save our children. Save the generations to come. Say no to a war only for water and organic food in the near future. Sponsor a tree, which can contribute to the society worth 1 crore rupees in its life span. They are your growing gifts to the nature, to the society, to the generations to come and to your beloved children.

Well, if you were inventing a new religion, would you say ';This might be true, but then again the other guys have a good point';?

The whole purpose of religion is to get followers. You have to say the others are false to make sure they stay in your religion.
No Sir not the one I belong to - Hinduism. It implore us to respect all faith including no faith like atheist as perhaps we have felt that each pursued with intensity and sincerity will reach the Source, for, God is all that and much more: faith, no faith, indifferent and so on - they are all our categories of knowledge derived from our limited intellect
'Dharma' which is translated 'religion' for want of a better word in English teaches me to practise the principles of religion so that God in heaven may rest in peace!
Hindu Scriptures never talk about other religions or faiths. It only speaks about only the nature like light, heat, rain that are the cause of the world's livelihood and existence and self realisation of human beings.
yes and God determines what is required for salvation and how to get to him not men deciding to say how they will get to God and how to get to heaven.

God says there is only one faith.
Yes, it's a fallacy: ';No True Scotsman.'; But of course, will still ignore it and still say that their faith is the true one.
Because all religions rely on brainwashing to delude people into thinking that theres is the only true one, thats why i left organised religion.
As Catholics we believe our faith contains the fullness of the truth as revealed to us by Jesus Christ. All other faiths may contain goodness, but only partial truth about what God has revealed.
At least Hinduism states that worship of any God reaches God.
