Why do many of the modern bibles seem to teach the false doctrinal concept of hell?

I don't think they do..I think it is our concept of Hell, going back to Pagan times that is influencing our ideas of Hell. Since Jesus was a Jew, I am fascinated looking at the Jewish teachings on Hell, that it is

Hell is temporary -- not permanent.

Hell is a therapy -- not an imprisonment.

Hell is a consequence -- not a punishment.

Hell is a washing machine -- not a furnace. Why do many of the modern bibles seem to teach the false doctrinal concept of hell?
Because they have no other doctrinal concept of hell for them to teachWhy do many of the modern bibles seem to teach the false doctrinal concept of hell?
The ';modern'; Bibles? Check the original 1611 King James - hell is in there too, and it's not a false doctrine. Maybe you should get your facts straight.
It was devised to put fear into the ignorant illiterate masses.

We all know how many wars were fought in the name of religion - religions of love and tolerance - yeah!

How many people were burned alive with the 'intention' of saving souls from the eternal fire of hell?
that's a new one to me...I didn't know they did teach the wrong concept of hell....I'm 100% with ';pugetsound'; PLEASE READ WHAT HE WROTE TO YOU ...his answer should get your 10 pts.....
to stop scaring people maybe
Even if the Bible was a factual source of information, I'd think that you'd want to confirm the accuracy of the various translations, not through ';faith'; but by evaluating the how and why the translations were made along with which sources were used and how conflicts were resolved. To accept any given translation just because it agrees with what you think is a falacy.
you'll believe oneday when you open your eyes there, just as the rich man did in the Bible.
Which false doctrines concept do you refer? Hell is not a place that is even created yet. It will be created just before the great white throne judgment and satan and all his follower and those that won't accept the deal are thrown in there until after the great white throne judgment is over. Then as it is written , hell and satan and all his followers are thrown into the lake of fire and no longer exist. Hell eventually is a funeral pyre ,which as far as I am concerned is the most accurate and simple way to explain hell.
As opposed to the true doctrinal concept of Hell?
The Bible, respectfully, doesn't. ';Hell'; is not a scriptural concept and it is commonly believed to be.

That said, If you have found ';modern bibles'; that do so, I'd be interested though in seeing some citations/quotations to back that up.

PS: About Gehenna. Yes, it was a very real place. It was a garbage dump just outside Jerusalem where they also threw the bodies of criminals for disposal. Now ask yourself this. Since that place is used as proof that Hell is a place of eternal torment. When a body was thrown in there, did it burn forever? Did even the fires of that literal garbage dump burn forever? No. The term Gehenna is used as symbolic of complete destruction. Does something burned to ashes ever come back?

Further: How would you explain these two scriptures in the context of belief in an eternal punishment for our sins?

Ezekiel 18:4 - ';The soul that is sinning it itself will DIE

(the soul that sinneth, it shall die. - KJV)

Romans 6:7 - ';He that has died has been ACQUITTED of his sins.'; (For he that is dead is freed from sin. - KJV)
If it's in the Bible it is not a false doctrinal concept.

Revelation 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Hell is a real place. Geenna (Greek word for hell) is found twelve times in the vocabulary of the Greek New Testament.

Hell is a place of eternal punishment: Jesus said (Matt. 25: 46). The punishment of the wicked is just as long as the bliss of the saved - ';everlasting'; is from aionios and is applied to both the punishment of the wicked and the life (';eternal';) of the righteous. John wrote, ';And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever'; (Rev. 14: 11). Jesus said, ';Thee shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth'; (Matt. 25: 30). Jesus said it would be better to be maimed or have a millstone hanged about one's neck and cast into the sea than to experience hell (Mk. 9: 42-50).

Hell is a place of outer darkness:Darkness is often used to indicate ignorance, pride, and rebellion (Jn. 3). God, by contrast, is light and Christians are to walk in the light (I Jn. 1: 5-7). Darkness is symbolic of despair, uncertainty, and fear. Jesus said hell will be not just a place of darkness, but ';outer darkness';

Hell will be a place of a repulsive population:The abominable, murderers, and whoremongers will be in hell (Rev. 21: 8). Paul wrote that fornicators, thieves, drunkards, and homosexuals will also make up the population of hell ( I Cor. 6: 9-11). Also, those who simply failed to have availed themselves of the privilege of serving God in this life will be in hell with the Hitlers, Mansons, and moral reprobates (Matt. 25: 14-30).
If you say hell is false you are calling Jesus a liar. Are you a Jehova's Witness or simply deluded?

Did you know that Jesus was in hell for three days after he died and before he was resurrected to heaven? Do you think his father, God, would put him in a fiery place of torment after he had been tortured on the stake? I don't think so. Jesus was dead, he knew nothing, felt nothing, it was as though he was asleep. What about the scripture that says the dead are conscience of nothing? Ecclesiastes 9:5 says - ';For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten.'; To be tortured wouldn't you have to KNOW you are alive and being tortured? Think about it. There is no fiery burning hell. Hell is the common grave of mankind.
';modern bibles'; hmm.... I am thinking,

Its completely wrong if its been changed, or its been played around with. So, I say there is hell but only for those who don't believe in god and do wrong.
The Bible is just a book. I for one find more meaty spiritual sustenance in the novels of John Steinbeck.
What?!?

Hell is a ';false doctrine';? Really?

Please take a moment and read

Luke, chapter 12

Matthew 5:21

or any of a number of scriptures (Old AND New Testaments) referring to a ';fiery furnace';, etc.

Then, come back and answer your own question.
They do it because they are trying to scare people to attend their church. Also, they stick to tradition, and do not keep up on modern terms and word usage.

Also, the Bible tells us that ';hell'; will be burned itself in the lake of fire, so it does not really exist as churches teach. SeerRevalation 20:14.
They think if they deny Hell it won;t be real, but denying

something does not make it go away,Hell is real.
because all the bibles have been altered.

the truth is in the Quran.
