Jehovah's Witnesses ONLY: If the WBTS was now teaching anything false, how would we know & what should we do?

After reading through a court transcript that records statements by members of the Governing Body, I found out that the Organization HAS changed beliefs in the past. They even said that there was a time the ';present truth'; would have been regarded as false by the Governing Body... And that if today's Governing Body could go back in time, say to 1913, and told anyone what JWs believe now, the ';present truth'; would have been rejected!

Perhaps a JW from the future will come back in time to today, to tell you what the Truth will be in the future. Yet you must reject it. If so, then following the WBTS seems more important than the factual trueness of your beliefs. It would be difficult for me to accept teaching from ANY such group.

I Thessalonians 5:21-22Jehovah's Witnesses ONLY: If the WBTS was now teaching anything false, how would we know %26amp; what should we do?
how do we know?

ill check the bible

if the wtbts ever contradicted the bible, ill believe the bible.

every publication they have ever made quotes scriptures, so they always have something to back up what they sayJehovah's Witnesses ONLY: If the WBTS was now teaching anything false, how would we know %26amp; what should we do?
The kittenators is wrong!

The governing body never made any prediction about 1975. A few Witnesses took it upon themselves to believe that and took to teaching false stories. Alas, they left, maybe you were one of them.

There is no publication of the Governing Body predicting 1975 else the detractors of Jehovah's people would be waving it around.

Jehovah's Witnesses never changed their teaching it was you who made your own up and blame it on the true Jehovah's Witnesses who didn't follow you.
The truth is revelaed gradually, remember when the first century Christians were still practicing circumcision and other things that God had approved of at some point in time. But the time came for the Holy Spirit to reveal to them more truth. read Acts 15. But what about you, have you always believed the false teaching of the Trinity and other belief's.
Asker you have been given the general answer. They don't change their doctrines just improve on it.

Your addition answers lengthy list looks like someone sparing for a fight.
Our holy god Jehovah, almighty in power ,would not be backing us if we were not correct in our teachings. We would then fall apart as a group and we would not be in unity with each other and have sects and divisions. The unique relationship we share globally with all Members of our society is living proof that Jehovah god is backing us! No other religion will you find every member in complete agreement and still growing in numbers we are unique because we share one thought all over the world. God said that would be a mark of the true christian to be united in worship. no one can tear our faith apart. we are unshakable in faith and we do all that god has commanded.
If what they teach is against Christ's teachings, then we would know. Jehovah makes everything known sooner or later. That is why the organization stresses reading the scriptures. If you are a Witness, then you know that everything they teach is true. They are peaceful and they have love among themselves. I have belonged to several other religions and none are as loving and kind as the brothers and sisters I meet in the truth. Of course we have our differences occasionally. So do real family members. But if I need anything, all I have to do is call one of the elders.
My brothers have more than adequately answered your 'question'. You have your own notion of what the 'correct' answer is, and no doubt, you will choose an anti-witness or apostate answer for BA; all you are looking for is validation of your own ideas.

I will not look elsewhere for guidance in this world, other than the faithful and discreet slave class that Jesus put in charge of his earthly possessions, because I HAVE looked elsewhere, quite extensively, and even IF this organization has adapted as the light that was foretold grows brighter and brighter as the day draws near; I have never found any other group of people as united and sure of their hope as I have found with these people. They have reinstated the fabulously important name of God to common usage, they have explained biblical prophesy in a way that makes perfect sense to me, and they don't try to pound into my ear the tripe of the hellfire, or trinity, which are just patently unbelievable and imminently ungodly.

They are also the only group on the earth today, who follow their King's command for their entire lives long. That, my friend is called dedication. We also follow the example of the apostles of Jesus, whom themselves had erronious ideas concerning Jesus and his kingdom. They allowed themselves, humbly to be re-aligned, readjusted to right thinking. How arrogant would it be of us?

Kitte- I was in the truth in 1975, and before. There was never a publication that predicted that the end would come in 1975. It marked the end of 6000 years of human history, and the society said 'We would not be surprised if something important happened';. NEVER a prediction. You left because your heart was not complete toward Jehovah. You were servng for a date. I serve for my life.

We are answering. Any one can accuse a group of not answering, as long as he has his own agenda, and reason for asking the question.

No one asks YOU to believe. I do. We do.
Jehovah has never given dates or times of when the end of this system is coming. We all know that... The Society has never, ever given dates saying'; this is the end, this is when Armageddon is coming';!

Only many of the worshipers of that time thought those things. Many of whom have left the truth. Jehovah only wants those worshiping him out of Love, not what they can get. Job set the best example for us.

We all know it's the truth, just look of what has been revealed to us...only true worshipers of Jehovah can see these things.

Look at the way we can understand the prophecies, the books of Daniel and Isiah and not forgetting the book of Revelation :-)

We wait on Jehovah...that wait will not be to long...as we know, it's now on the horizon.

Stay strong brothers!
We would know it when Jehovah makes it clear to those whom he is using to direct his work in the earth at this time that a teaching needs to be corrected.

That's the way Jehovah has always worked, whether through Moses, the prophets, Jesus, or the early Christian governing body comprised of the ';apostles and older men'; at Jerusalem.

Jehovah does not require his servants to be perfect or to have perfect knowledge. Even the apostle Paul said that Christians in his day knew ';in part'; or ';partially'; what God's will was, not perfectly. (1 Corinthians 13:9, 12)

Your questions take the tone that Jehovah's Witnesses have made changes in our core doctrines, that is not true. Some things have been clarified, but the basics remain the same.

And while you ask us for our answers, it seems that you are more taken with rejecting them in favor of your preconceived notions. So it seems to me that you want your ';answers,'; not ours.
Did the early Jewish Christians believe the ';future truth'; that Gentiles would become part of the Christian congregation?

Did the early Jewish Christians believe the ';future truth'; that circumcision would no longer merit God's approval?

Did the early Jewish Christians believe the ';future truth'; that all festivals and even tithing from the Law Covenant would be removed from Christian worship?

Were they teaching falsehoods?

When the holy spirit sent by Jehovah through Jesus as the Head of the Christian congregation CORRECTED all these FALSE TEACHINGS, did the early Jewish Christians get ';up in arms'; and storm off because they were taught FALSEHOODS?

Or did they recognize the working of the holy spirit within the congregation?

We see Jehovah's blessing on his Son's Headship over the congregation. We see corrections being made by means of the holy spirit.

If your religion is not receiving/accepting these corrections, concerning the immortality of the soul, hellfire, trinity, and the future of the earth, may it be because your religion is not backed by the holy spirit with Christ as Head?

If I recognized that my religion was not backed by Christ, I would find the one that was.

I found it, and it is!

And the kittenators needs to give 1975 a rest. I was there too, out in field service on September 1st, 1975, and I was not telling people that Armageddon was starting that afternoon.
Where is your source? Brother Kolber is 93 years old and choose not to join the army in 1944. He spent 5 months in a CA prison. He is still alive and faithful. I am sure there has been new understandings along the way, he is 93 years old you know.

Being a Jehovah's Witness is for those with a humble attitude. Humans hate changes. Read Jonah's story.

Also Proverbs 4:18 But the path of the righteous ones is like the bright light that is getting lighter and lighter until the day is firmly established.
We would know because Jehovah would reveal it. And what would we do when God reveals a truth? Follow of course!

QUESTION: Does getting things wrong mean you cannot be used by God?

The problem is, Jehovah never proclaimed he would have an infallible group that would never get anything wrong. The disciples incorrectly thought Jesus was establishing his kingdom in their day, (they were they were thousands of years out regarding the date - See Acts 1: 6 and Luke 19:11) and Peter has completely the wrong idea about the purpose of the Messiah (Matthew 16: 23).

Jesus said he had information which, at the time of speaking, he felt the disciples where not ready to hear. It seems that God does not always reveal the understanding of all his truths at the same time and allows his servants to learn from mistakes.

In line with the bible then, Jehovah's Witness organisation is a progressive organisation, it has reflected the progressive revelation of bible truths and their humble acceptence of their errors and continued desire to better understand is unique and evidence of Gods blessing and approval (see Proverbs 4: 18).
We do not alter the truth but hone in the precision. We still believe Jesus took to the throne of the kingdom in 1914. We know blood is sacred these will not change. We know we are in the last days of this system of things. That is set in stone because we can prove it unquestionably from the Bible.

We may of gave up venerating the cross, and Christmas and other things that are not biblical we have cut out what we recognise as not part of true worship. Our belief in the scriptures have not changed but ridding ourselves the teaching that churches adopted by pagan influences. These things we have shed off and the fine tuning from our desire for the Truth has now become quite precise. We do not hold on to a lie because it has become a tradition of centuries and we so stuck with tradition we have to keep it. We have been rescued from teachings that over the centuries have incorporated teachings not from the first century. In fact the persecution of our kingdom proclaiming stands as testament to what has been achieved.

But we are still in the stream of time where prophesies are yet to be realised, such as the crushing of Babylon the Great and the war of Armageddon. So as events unfold in this pivotal period of time in the world's atrocities and condition of societies we are able to pin point further how the future is coming along. We are closer to God's kingdom ruling over the earth than other religious faiths can recognise or want to.

Edit: the kittenators, the only one in denial is yourself because YOU were wrong and tried to draw others away with you. There is no magazine, book or convention in or before that claimed Armageddon was coming in 1975. We have grown more than double since 1975 and we have a proven record of loving one another and neighbour. I know where I want to be on the Day of Jehovah.

Edit 2: Asker we were not teaching falsity we pulled away from it. That is the answer.

In 20 years time we still know what we teach today is accurate the only advantage we will have in that in time we will know more of the future and it's relationship to the fulfilling of prophesies which is we already know now are going to happen (such as: we know Babylon the Great is doomed) but what particular world events will lead up to that, events will unfold and we will have greater understanding.

Example: The book: Revelation It's Grand Climax At Hand! The edition was printed first in 1988 and in 2008 there were little in terms of alterations, editing was slight as I had the Original book with a few editing bits - we had more world events revealed to us in the time flow of 20 years.

We do not vision the future events of news like a fortune teller but we have been blessed to discern the significance of things happening in the world as they do because we are ';on the watch'; as Jesus said his followers would be.

Edit 3: If you want to put your dukes up and fight over every minuscule over his then you are not asking us the genuine question you are just looking for a fight. We know 1914 is when Jesus took the throne that is provable undoubtedly by us by scriptures. We were not even the first to discern this. The Bible is what teaches us and it is what Jehovah God provided and it is that what we go on. Not tradition, not what pleases people, not because it sounds good. But because Jehovah has revealed it to his right hearted ones who are searching. Most of christendom is settled and doesn't search for or is on the watch for events of the conclusion to this system's end. Christendom is satisfied with what it wants to do, it has built it's traditions which put it in a sleep. It is content to continue as it has regardless how close to Armageddon is coming. It doesn't warn people. Unlike the apostles who asked Jesus what would be the things to look out for and the signs of his presence. This is something which would require being active in watching out for.

It is only Jehovah's Witnesses that are alerting the world that the end of this system of things is coming. We do not know the day or the hour, many in the world will believe it will not be in their life time surely. But Jesus said the world would be asleep to it coming. The clergy of Christendom are not going to warn you, If it wasn't for us who else is doing the watching and the giving the warning?

(Matthew 24:37-39) For just as the days of Noah were, so the presence of the Son of man will be. 38聽For as they were in those days before the flood, eating and drinking, men marrying and women being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark; 39聽and they took no note until the flood came and swept them all away, so the presence of the Son of man will be.
That chances of that happening is ah hmmm very very highly extremely unlikely. Everything we teach and believe is from the bible. The light of the truth is still getting brighter and brighter and the anointed are humble enough to admit that the understanding of something was once not full and they will indeed get the truth because they are God's chosen discreet slave class and in order for them to shepherd God's flock and teach them to worship Jehovah in spirit and truth Jehovah will give the the power of wisdom and his Holy spirit will help them to understand the scriptures more fully and whenever they come into a clearer understanding of the scriptures they do not hesitate to inform the Great crowd. They will not continue to teach something that they mistakenly understood in the past. Unlike the churches today who continue to teach people false doctrines and misleading them The God spirit anointed men and women will never intentionally misguide God's flock. The bible is there for all of us to examine and you will find that All of Jehovah's teachings are recorded in the NWT that the slave class instructs us from. They will not mislead us.
Jahovas witness was a religion created by man who escaped religious prosocution. He thought his own way of God and messed with people's mind.
I GREW UP JEHOVAH'S WITNESS SINCE 1962. ( IM 51 AND I LEFT WHEN I WAS 21)

I WAS THERE WHEN THE GOVERNING BODY SAID THAT ARMAGEDDON WAS SEPTEMBER 1, 1975.

I SHARE YOUR CONFUSION.

IF JEHOVAH IS SOOO ENLIGHTENED....WHY HAS HE MESSED UP AND CHANGED SO MANY TEACHINGS THROUGHOUT TIME??

FUNNY THING.... REGARDING SEPTEMBER, 1975.....THE WATCHTOWER BLAMED PEOPLE FOR BELIEVING THEIR TEACHINGS !!!!! WHAT ARE PEOPLE SUPPOSED TO DO ??? THEY SAID THAT PEOPLE WHO FELT BETRAYED BY THE SOCIETY DIDNT HAVE FAITH !!!

THEY HAVE TAUGHT THE REMAINING ';FLOCK'; TO EXPLAIN THE SEPT. ';MISTAKE'; AWAY AND COVER FOR THE WATCHTOWER SOCIETY.........

DENIAL IS A BEAUTIFUL THING !!!!
