How is it that americans can still be taught false history in school ?

and then claim to know anything about why their country goes to war or why they make certain foreign policy ??How is it that americans can still be taught false history in school ?
don't all countries do it to some extent? different books from different countries will portray events in different lights in order to appear better than they actually did.

Also, Jason R. You say ';their thick'; when you can't even use grammar lol. it should be they're thick, as in they are thick. So in putting that you've just proved that in fact it is you who is thick. How is it that americans can still be taught false history in school ?
The schools and ';history'; scholars are mostly liberals.
Have no knowledge about US Schools' History Books~but, there have been great American scholars of history who have been a beaconlight to historicity. Their most unbiased researches in the history pertaining to Biblical events has given a new horizon to history in general and to religions in particular. Hence, the University-scholars in US have been sympathetic to all other religions beside Christianity.

Department of Education!
historical information is nearly always biased, a combination of sources should always be used. if these kids are being taught from one source, which you suggest is false, then they should use their own intiative and seek out other sources. this is the only way to fully understand history.
It is a new religion of make believe, (brainwashing.)
If Americans were given a complete unbiased account of events, their whole society will collapse.

BECAUSE THEIR THICK
Because much of American society is run by religious bigots. They think that they're interpretation of reality is correct. They think that a book compiled 1500 years ago in Rome, to suit the politics of the time, and translated several times is more reliable than sound science. Insanity!!! That is why Americans are amongst the world's most un-knowledgeable people.
