Christians: Why do so many prefer the false teaching about what the soul is, as opposed to what ...?

... the Bible actually says about the soul?Christians: Why do so many prefer the false teaching about what the soul is, as opposed to what ...?
You can make it out by the following clip:

The penecostal preacher said: ';I don't think that I wanted to worship God if there would be no hellfire for the wicked.'; That means: She didn't open her heart completely for the truth of the Bible. She barricades some areals with her own opinions. The truth of the Bible must subdue to her thoughts.

That's a completely wrong way. We must open our heart fully and accept, what God's word the Bible wants to say to us. God is the one who makes the rules, not we.

Look at that prayer of David:

(Ps. 86:11) Instruct me, O Jehovah, about your way. I shall walk in your truth. Unify my heart to fear your name.

There's no use in creating our own doctrines and only accept the scripturs that support these, but deny what the Bible really teaches.Christians: Why do so many prefer the false teaching about what the soul is, as opposed to what ...?
Nephesh in the OT has many different usages, as does Psuche in the NT. Latin anima, and Greek anemos are also used. The Word needs to be rightly divided, regarding the use of the word soul.
A guess

Because many prefer Greek philosophical thinking

to the simple bible truths

From one of Jehovah's Witnesses

A Christian
Simple, Tradition. They feel they need to mystify the Bible more than it already is.
They like to have their ears tickled.

To be told what they what to hear.

It's easier then making adjustments in your daily life.
Why do you ask such a vague question? I haven't the faintest idea what you are referring to.
The Bible teaches that people are tripartite [1 Thessalonians 5:23; Hebrews 4:12]: consisting of a body, soul and spirit [Isaiah 10:18; Matthew 10:28; Luke1:46,47]. The soul is made up of the mind, emotions and the will [Samuel 5:8; Job 6:7; Psalm 86:4; 139:14; Song of Solomon 1:7; 2 Lamentations 3:20; 1 Corinthians 14:14].
The soul belongs to the realm of the natural man, and the spirit belongs to the realm of the Spirit. Anyone who cannot distinguish the difference between these two categories is in darkness. It means he cannot tell what is of God and what is not of God. He may pose as an expert on the Bible, but in fact he cannot know the Bible because the Bible can be interpreted only by men who know the spirit.

One verse shows the distinct cleavage between soul and spirit. It is Jude 19. “These are the ones who cause divisions, natural [soulish], not having spirit”. Jude was referring to the degraded situation that will exist at the end of this age in Christianity, where there will be pretenders to spiritual things. These men will be the source of divisions, because they are soulish men devoid of spirit. Here again it is clear that the realm of the soul and the realm of the spirit are two entirely different spheres. The realm of the spirit is the realm of God's activity, and the realm of the soul is the realm of merely human and sometimes even demonic activity. The importance of being able to distinguish between these two realms cannot be overestimated.
because your church leader's particular interpretation of that is only considered factual by those who don't employ their own thought process.

you ';true teaching'; is just the one you blindly adopted from your church leader. you may not know that....but we all do.
You must have sold your soul to Satan

That is atheist tongue speaking

REPENT or go to Hell

Why would you harm your soul
Because a lot of people don't belive in your bible.
