What teaching of the Jehovah's Witnesses Organization is false?

There are 20-30 from what I learned...along with some true ones.What teaching of the Jehovah's Witnesses Organization is false?
you cant really say false who knows whos right or wrongWhat teaching of the Jehovah's Witnesses Organization is false?
Beasts represent Governments to countries rather then Christian Sects. - Rev 17:11,12

There are too many to list, but my favorite is their twisting of the ';faithful and discreet slave'; scripture in Matthew. They teach that the annointed class is the faithful and discreet slave, but somehow only the watchtower corporation writing committee can send out new teaching material (and many on the writing committee are NOT of the annointed). It's possibly the most ridiculous thing they teach.

For the poster who asked ';what other religion doesn't go to war';.....seriously, read a book sometime. JW's are less than a drop in the bucket of peace loving, anti-war religions and groups. And unlike jw's, many others actually do something to protest wars.
And what are the 20-30 that you have learned, of course there is always gonna be someone trying to make them seem like they are false, but think about it, what is the only religion that does not go to war, even if a draft happens, they risk their freedom to follow the words of God Tho shall not kill? does that mean anything to you? and what do people do when they go to war? they kill :-O Isnt that going against his word. Maybe you should get in touch with on in your area and have a meeting with that person and ask them the same question and see what they respond
Jao,

How is salvation not need faith, works, and obedience?

Example: You have faith that you can travel to Europe from US for vacation but if you don't take action to earn some money for airfare, hotels and follow some type of vacation guides. How will you going to have that vacation?

It is the same as the undeserved kindness (salvation) from God. We need to have faith in God, obey God's requirements, and live our lives harmony with His divine will.

Do you think it's okay for a company to pay you to work for them and once you got to your work place and don't do what the company requires of you? Do you not think they fire you in a week?

I find no false teachings in Jehovah's Witnesses Organization.
For Jao -

James 2:26 -

';Faith without works is dead.';

True faith exhibits works. If there are no works, the faith is dead according to this scripture.

Sort of like saying you have love for your fellowman, and then doing nothing to show such. How much are words worth? Jehovah God wants action out of his servants - love in action - faith in action.

That is what is wrong with many who claim to be Christian. It is in words only - no action.

EDIT:

I raised my sons in a congregation in rural Kentucky that had two of the anointed in it.

I now attend a double Hall that has 7 congregations using it. Out of the 7 congregations, there are 4 anointed. Two go to the same congregation.

I once had an anointed brother tell me, ';Don't let anyone outside or inside the congregation cause you to lose your integrity.';

Those were very wise words and some that perhaps you need to take to heart immediately.

Please look at my profile. Email if you wish.
I just met with some today and they say that God is not in control , of what is going on in the world today such as wars climate change and water shortages etc etc . So i asked them if he could stop it and they said yes , so if he can stop it wouldn't that mean he could control it , again the ans was yes but the blame is on man i said and God is allowing it to happen and they didn't like that .They also don't believe Jesus and God are one , yet the bible states that and supposedly they know the bible
This isn't a teaching (so many good ones are already covered here) as much as it is a way they conduct themselves -

I noticed almost right away that they take pride in being different, or 'set apart' from other religions. So much so that they go out of the way to label things differently. First thing that I had learned of is that Jesus did not die on the cross but a torture stake. And that's what they all call it; not a pole or a wooden post, but a torture stake. They must be aligned %26amp; kept in lock-step.

Do not wear a cross as jewelry or on a shirt to show you are a Christian, for you would be mocking Jesus. How would we feel if a family member was murdered by a stabbing and others went around wearing a knife around their necks? This is how they are told to believe.

Then I noticed that they do not say that we are living in 2009 A.D. but rather C.E. (common era). And the Old Testament times are referred to as B.C.E. (before common era), not B.C. (before Christ). Cannot do things as the Christians do!

There are others, but these are the first to come off the top of my head.

And as to the posters who claim that James 2:26 (faith without works is dead) backs up the JWs mission to go door to door... you know you have that backwards. And shame on you for misleading! Works spring from faith; if you claim to be a follower of Christ yet have no desire to reach out to the lost, you should examine yourself. BUT - never make the deadly mistake of thinking that one needs to work in order to get or keep salvation! -

';I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”

Galatians 2:21

To believe this way is to refuse Christ's gift. Paul was mighty angry at the Galatians in his letter. And rightfully so. No one who thinks that works gain you entry into His presence will be allowed in. He will tell you that He never knew you.
Wow you asked for a tall order. Where to start? It would be so much easier to tell you the things they got right.

Anyhow, Thing I believe they got wrong!

Jesus is a Created being

Jesus was created pre-human state as Michael the Archangel

Jesus died on a torcher stake and rose on the third day as spirit being

Jesus' body was destroyed by God and turned into Gases or something like that.

Jesus is the literal son of God

God created Jesus then all [Other] things were created through him

Jesus in John 1:1 he is a god, Not God but a little god

Not God the Almighty but god the Mighty

Jesus is not a part of a Trinity

God is not a part of the Trinity

The Holy Spirit is not part of the Trinity

The holy spirit is an active life force

Jesus came back to earth a second time in 1874 as an invisible presence

The Gentile Time was to end in 1914

Armageddon was to begin in 1914

Bible Chronology is used to predict the presence of Jesus in 1874, then changed to 1914.

Jesus took up his throne as King in 1914 in Heaven.

There are so many this is just the tip of the iceburg, I could go on for a while with the doom and gloom end of the world predictions.

Thier New World Translation of the bible is full of errors.

Anyhow, you get the picture.
What do Jehovah’s Witnesses believe? Close scrutiny of their doctrinal position on such subjects as the deity of Christ, salvation, the trinity, the Holy Spirit, and the atonement, shows beyond a doubt that they do not hold to orthodox Christian positions on these subjects. Jehovah’s Witnesses believe Jesus is Michael the archangel, the highest created being. This contradicts many Scriptures which clearly declare Jesus to be God (John 1:1,14; 8:58; 10:30). Nowhere is Scripture are Jesus and Michael even mentioned together. Jehovah’s Witnesses believe salvation is obtained by a combination of faith, good works, and obedience. This contradicts countless scriptures which declare salvation to be received by grace through faith (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5). Jehovah’s Witnesses reject the trinity, believing Jesus to be a created being and the Holy Spirit to essentially be the inanimate power of God. Jehovah’s Witnesses reject the concept of Christ’s substitutionary atonement and instead hold to a ransom theory, that Jesus’ was a ransom payment for Adam’s sin.
There are many things that incorrect.

They teach working for salvation rather than salvation being a gift from God.

They teach that Michael the archangel and Jesus are one and the same.

They do not believe in the trinity.

Jesus was God's son but he was not God.....and so the list goes on.

In fact the watchtower society have their own bible and have translated various scriptures to suit their beliefs.

However, many members of the watchtower society can be some of the kindest people you will ever meet!
That Jehovah God created Jesus, and then after that, THROUGH Jesus, Jehovah created all OTHER things. Colossians 1:16

Don't know how Almighty God creates things THROUGH a vessel such as the ';Mighty God'; (Jesus), but the key is that they ADDED the word ';Other'; - it's not in the orginal greek, even if you use the preferred greek text of the Watchtower, which is Westcott-Hort.

They say that they add ';Other'; because it ';fits with the context of the entire Bible';

Huh? If you use that as your reasoning, you basically have ';Carte Blanche'; to add, subtract, twist, whatever ... to fit your beliefs/doctrine/teachings.

Look it up - it's not there ... when the word other is used, it is the prefix ';hetero'; like ';heterosexual'; (other sex attraction) - it's NOT there - click on the link below - look up Col 1:16
Apparently Jah has never read James, the half-brother of Jesus, who recorded at James 2:26 that, ';faith without works is dead.';

It is easy to use those scriptures he selected to mean we just sit on our collective butts and God will give us life. Funny how that attitude never makes it in the real world either. All of us have dreamed of having our employer simply mail us our paychecks while we stay at home. How is that working for you slick?

It doesn't work with Jehovah either. Such ';lazy'; people never wish to consider there is more than one kind of ';works'; involved. True, there are no works or payment we can offer to Jehovah for our lives. He already owns everything we know of by virtue of his creating everything we know. So it is a free gift. What Jehovah wants in return is our pure worship of Him and not Satan. That is the only original thing Jehovah did not create.

Part of that worship is doing what He commands. That is another form of :';works'; that we must do. The ';works'; James referred to.

As for the other 20-30 others, you never said what they were. Personally, I have found nothing that did not agree with the Bible. Although much of other religions themselves are in direct opposition to what the Bible teaches.

Mixing pagan teachings in with Biblical labels slapped on pagan practices hardly is pleasing to Jehovah God. You do realize that Jehovah is the God of the Bible's personal name, don't you? Psalms 83:18 is only one scripture in your copy of the Bible that shows this. Why has your clergy never pointed this out to you?

Perhaps you look for falsehood in the wrong place? I would suggest a personal study of the Bible to see what it actually says. We can help with this for free. Then you decide what to do next. In my 54 years, I have never seen anyone dragged into a Kingdom Hall with or without ropes or by arm lock. Everyone walks in of their own accord.
3 very blasphemous false teachings that are offensive are:

Jesus is the archangel Michael,

The promises of heaven are not for all believers, but only for 144,000

Jehovah's witnesses are the only ones who will survive armageddon and are now ';spiritual Israel';
Basically, they seem to teach that the Savior YAHOSHUA was not divine, and that YHVH's name is 'Jehovah'. If you found 20 or more, you probably know most of them.
Age of the earth.

Deity of Christ

Resurrection

Hell

All of their positions are wrong and not backed up by scripture
