Who thinks the rapture before the return of Christ is a false teaching?

The idea of the rapture as a separate event from the Lord's Second Coming is little more than 150 years old. It was UNHEARD OF before that.

Invented by revivalists seeking to wake a sleepy church out of her doldrums, the ';rapture'; fiction has sold alot of books and filled alot of altars with people scared out of their wits, but consider this:

The scared kids running to the altar for their ticket on the medevac escape flight before the Antichrist comes are doing so NOT FROM FEAR OF A HOLY GOD AND HIS JUSTICE, but from FEAR OF MAN RATHER THAN FEAR OF GOD. People who have no fear of God and of His justice and who come to Christ only to escape the persecution of man need to be very careful. We have much more to fear from ';him who is able to desctroy both body and soul in hell'; than from man ';who is able only to kill the body.';Who thinks the rapture before the return of Christ is a false teaching?
Nope and no where in the bible is it mentioned! It was a concept come up with by the Millerites in the 1800's (they became the Jehoviahs Witnesses) and accepted by some mainstream religions after that as truth.Who thinks the rapture before the return of Christ is a false teaching?
It's an interpretation of a translation that has been rewritten by men for over 2,000 years. Who knows what the original text really said.
I do not believe in pre trib theory, it is not scriptual.

1 Cor.:15-52 in a moment in the twinkling of an eye,, at the last trump; for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible and we shall be changed.

If this is not the rapture, then what is it? Also it is at the sounding of the last trump. So lets read the last trump and see what happens.

Rev.11:- 18- and the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ; and He shall reign for ever and ever.16- And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God, 17- saying, we give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, who is, and was and is to come; because thou has taken to thee thy great power, and has reigned. 18-And the nations were angry, and THY WRATH HAS COME, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that Thou should give reward unto they servants the prophets and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and should destroy them that destroy the earth.

to me that not only sounds like the rapture but also the time of Gods wrath.

We were not appointed unto Gods wrath.

Also, if we were to be raptured up before this time, then we are disclaiming another scripture that is very very clear that the rapture does not happen before tribulation. This is so important, I pray that all who believe that Jesus is going to come and get us before the antichrist is revealed really reads this.

2Thessalonians 2:1-4

Now we beseech you brethren,BY THE COMING OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, AND BY OUR GATHERING UNTO HIM,2-that you be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.3-LET NO MAN DECEIVE YOU BY ANY MEANS; FOR THAT DAY SHALL NOT COME, EXCEPT THERE COME A FALLING AWAY FIRST( not a gathering up to Christ), AND THAT MAN OF SIN BE REVEALED THE SON OF PERDITION,4- WHO OPPOSES AND EXALTS HIMSELF ABOVE ALL THAT IS CALLED GOD, OR THAT IS WORSHIPPED; SO THAT HE AS GOD SITS IN THE TEMPLE OF GOD SHOWING HIMSELF THAT HE IS GOD.

It can not get any clearer than that, it just can't.

I believe that the pretrib rapture theory is a deception of the devils to keep Gods people from truly being prepared for the times that are ahead. Think about that. You are expecting Jesus to come and take you away before antichrist is revealed, you are watching the heavens for Jesus and instead one day you see the antichrist in the temple professing to be God! What is that going to do to your faith?
Definetely nonsense. Less than moral humans invented that to subjugate others into doing what they want, by holding power and fear over them.
Christ will come and rapture Christians, then the Anti-Christ will reign on earth for seven years, then Christ will come and rule for 1000 years, then Satan will come again and will try to raise an army against God, God and Satan will fight God will win, and believers will be with God in paradise, but Satan and unbelievers will be in the lake of fire for all eternity
I'm sorry I could not find the word ';rapture'; in my Bible. The Bible does not specficly say when we get caught up in the air. It does not say wheather it takes place before or during the 7 years....
Before Jesus ascended to heaven he said this to his appostled: ';Assuredly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.';(Matthew 16:28)

They have all tasted death and if Jesus was going to be back, it happened a long time ago. We all missed it. Which makes me beleive that any teachings about the rapture, second or third commings are false.
I believe that belief in the Bible as literal is a huge mistake. The teaching of the Rapture does nothing but instill fear and dread, and since He does not give us a spirit of fear, why anyone would go down that road is beyond me. This teaching is a tool used by religious zealots to control people. God wants our willing service, not our coerced service. If you're a believer, what's to worry about, since God will take care of you no matter what, whether there's to be a literal Rapture or not.

  1. A PRETRIB RAPTURE FIRST !

An American researcher has discovered a copy of Scottish lassie Margaret Macdonald's handwritten account, on 23 sheets of paper, of her "discovery" in 1830 that the Bible teaches a "pre-tribulation rapture."
A facsimile copy of her penned account was obtained from the British Library which has long catalogued it as "Margaret McDonald's Vision" - one of many items in an old collection of Irvingism memorabilia.
Portions of this facsimile can now be viewed on the March 9, 2010 edition of "The End Times Passover" blog (hosted by media luminary Joe Ortiz) which has the honor of being the first to air all of this.
The most accurate and detailed documentation on the long hidden beginnings of this 19th century prophetic innovation - which today is a very protective and lucrative American industry - is found in the 300-page book "The Rapture Plot" which is available at internet bookstores such as Armageddon Books.
